Since they have put the deadline for the opening now on 6th July 2012, they have got a bigger crew working on the track.

So what has to be done?

The building got a roof done.

The “coaster”-track trough the building has to be put in including a first curve.

The number of parts in storage became a lot less.

The motor that will power the cable that pulls the coaster-cars back up the mountain is in place.

And so are the guidewheels for the cable.

What about the double-helix?

Yes, very high of the ground indeed !

And connected to the rest.

A upstanding metal-plate was inserted in the track.

The last curve, of the track leading the riders onto the lifthill.

I think those other parts with the big wheels etc will be build there.

Originally it was planned to open beginning of June, but due to weather there where several problems etc.

Let’s see how it will go the upcoming 12-13 days.

A few days have past, so I wanted to check out the proces. It seems more parts where delivered.

Delivery number 4?

The little poles came back , but this time in the remaining dirt.

Some nice humps and curves, and a lot close to the ground.

On this spot the more complex things will be build… What? When? Stay tuned.

Since more ways lead to the top of the mountain, this time I walked the “Rodelbahn” ( which is the 1500m long trail used in winter to ride a sled down, and real men walk up again…and again etc )

The “Rodelbahn” end/begins where parts are being stored for the build.

More track for the lifthill?

Some bigger parts, I think they will be used in parts of the “Alpine Coaster” that is much higher above the ground.

The wood is also used on higher tracks, then there is a sidewalk on both sides of the track.

And yes, the skislope is no skislope any more. All grass made aways, the bulldozer also made “paths” on either side of this former skislope.

Looking out my window tomorrow I noticed that it seems a lot of work was being done.

So I packed myself with several kg’s of cameragear, some good shoes and up the mountain!

Compare it with the previous blogentry 😉 , so thet are preparing for the concrete foundations.

btw this time it was me hiding in the bushes and boy do I love my 70-200 F2.8 , which I couldn’t use for close to 2 months because being in a casket.

Some rather cool new parts came in the last week.

What more was new? ( at least to me )

Hmm… what was that used for?

So the lifthill is allready being build.

Also compare that to a few blog-entries back.

Parts are produced in the factory and transported to a storage-area on top of the mountain, “Bocksberg”

Like with lego-bricks many different parts.

The long spikes are used to secure the “coaster” to the ground, the bigger parts secure the 4 tracks together.

Red markings is the trail of the “coaster” down, blue markings is the lift back up.
